Some allergy testing can be done in the office. On occasion, an allergy test (such as a blood test) must be sent out to the lab. The Center for Asthma & Allergy offers specific allergy testing in the office for our patients’ convenience and comfort:

• Allergy prick tests for foods and environmental allergens

• Scratch tests

• Skin tests for Penicillin and other medications

• Insect venom skin tests

• Patch tests for common cosmetics and chemicals

• Fresh fruit allergy testing for Oral Allergy Syndrome

• Local anesthetic allergy testing (like Lidocaine etc)

• Allergen vaccine preparation and dispensing

• Pulmonary function testing (Spirometry)
